Unlocking Masterworking in Diablo 4 is a significant milestone in your endgame journey, offering the potential to greatly enhance the power of your gear. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and utilize Masterworking in Diablo 4 Season 4:

Unlocking Masterworking:

Complete a Tier 46 Nightmare Dungeon: Progress through the game until you reach World Tier 4 and challenge yourself by completing a Tier 46 Nightmare Dungeon. This achievement unlocks access to the Pit of the Artificers, a specialized dungeon crucial for Masterworking.

Enter the Pit of the Artificers: Once you unlock the Pit, dive into this timed dungeon. Your objective is to eliminate a specific number of enemies within a ten-minute timeframe. After clearing this phase, you'll face a random boss.

Obtain Masterwork Materials: Successful completion of the Pit rewards you with Masterwork materials. The tiers of Masterwork materials are as follows:

Tier 1-20: Obducite

Tier 21-40: Ingolith

Tier 41 and above: Neathiron

Visit the Blacksmith: Head to any Blacksmith in the game and access the "Masterworks" option. Here, you can initiate the Masterworking process for your gear.

Masterworking Process:

Select Gear for Masterworking: Choose either Unique or Ancestral Legendary items that you wish to Masterwork. These items offer significant benefits when enhanced through Masterworking.

Costs Involved: Masterworking requires a combination of Gold and the specific Masterwork materials obtained from the Pit. The costs escalate as you progress through higher tiers of Masterworks.

Affix Enhancements: Masterworking buffs the affixes on your chosen gear. Each rank of Masterworking provides incremental improvements:

All affixes receive a 5% boost per rank.

Alternatively, one random affix on the gear can receive a 25% increase.

Resetting Masterworks: You have the option to reset Masterworks on a piece of gear at the Blacksmith without any cost. This allows you to experiment with different affix enhancements based on your evolving gameplay needs.

Materials Cycling: As you advance in Masterworking tiers, the required Masterwork materials cycle from Obducite to Ingolith and finally to Neathiron. This progression system incentivizes players to continue challenging themselves in the Pit at higher levels.

Masterworking in Diablo 4 offers a dynamic and rewarding system for optimizing your gear's potential. By mastering the Pit of the Artificers and strategically investing Diablo 4 Gold, you can elevate your character's capabilities to new heights within Season 4 and beyond.
