The Most Complete Guide of WOW Classic Molten Core Raid

Categories:news
In WOW Classic, the Molten Core lies at the very bottom of Blackrock Depths. It is the heart of Blackrock Mountain and the exact spot where, long ago in a desperate bid to turn the tide of the dwarven civil war, Emperor Thaurissan summoned the elemental Firelord, Ragnaros, into the world. Though the firelord is incapable of straying far from the blazing Core, it is believed that his elemental minions command the Dark Iron dwarves, who are in the midst of creating armies out of living stone. The burning lake where Ragnaros lies sleeping acts as a rift connecting to the plane of fire, allowing the malicious elementals to pass through. Chief among Ragnaros' agents is Majordomo Executus - for this cunning elemental is the only one capable of calling the Firelord from his slumber.

Molten Core is the first major raid in the WOW classics. In the Blackrock Depths, you can enter Molten Core, where you can finally defeat Ragnaros through a raid. However, entering Molten Core requires some work in advance.

There are two ways to get into Molten Core: completing the attunement, or traveling through Blackrock Depths.

Molten Core Attunement

Coordination with Molten Core means completing the Attunement to the Core mission of the Lothos Riftwaker in Black Rock Mountain. After completing this task, you can chat with Lothos to simply port it to Molten Core without having to participate in the raid. You can participate in the raid yourself, but it is very time consuming. The entrance to Molten Core is within the Blackrock Depths, which means that you and the other four players will need to spend time cleaning the dungeon to get into the team. In a 40-person raid, if you need everyone to enter Molten Core like this, it means that a group of 5 will need to be cleared from Blackrock Depths to Molten Core before the remaining 35 people can go through Blackrock Core 5 depth. Although this is possible, it will be very time consuming and you will likely take 1-2 hours to bring everyone in.

On the other hand, the mediation task itself is easy. You can pick up the "Reconciliation Core" at level 55 and simply remove it from the entrance of the Blackrock Depths to the Molten Core entrance to retrieve the rock fragments found outside the entrance. Once you return to Losos with the debris, you can talk to him at any time in the future, he will send you to the Molten Core, so that you can easily enter the team.
