WoW Classic Maraudon Gold Farming Guide Jan-31-2021

A beautiful stunning dungeon that can be used as a good source of income for the level 60 classes. It is a high-level dungeon, but at the same time, it is slow enough for the lower level classes to solo some of the bosses for weapon drops. In this dungeon, you can set your own pace, and no other player can come and disturb you or take your kill. At the same time, you’re also not collecting any items that can lose their values over time, as the items have a stable value. You can sell all the items directly to a vendor, that includes all the boss items, as well as the enticing weapon drops.

This method is for classes like; Priest, Druid and Mage. However, they will not be able to complete the runs as efficiently as compared to the other two main classes; Hunter and Warlock. Both of these classes have Ranged DPS, ability to kite, as well as pets that able, to tank, so making gold through this method is much easier for them.

Maraudon is located in Desolace, which is also called the valley of spears. Upon entering, you will find an entrance just north of Shdowprey Village and directly west of the Kodo Graveyard. To identify that you’re on the right spot, look for giant stone doors that are marking the entrance, and a path that is guarded by centaurs. You can enter the area through two entrances, one is the pathway linked with orange crystals and the other with purple. So, for this route, you must take the one with the purple crystal entrance. While heading into the path, you’ll find a portal room just before the entrance, which is where you’ll have to keep your Scepter of Celebras ready to create a portal that leads directly into the base of Earth Song Falls.

Route

Once inside, you can continue your journey to the farm by heading forward and passing through all the hostile NPCs. If you’re level 60, it is recommended that you just move along the walls to avoid aggro-ING the NPCs. Now, enter the cave that will be on your left until you reach a rock formation between the groups of Subterranean Diemetradon. Keep a lookout for the elemental creatures called Theradrim Guardian that will be roaming around the hallway and head back to where you came from, and shifting the direction to the right. Pass the second pack of Subterranean Diemetradon and shift back to the left side, passing the final pack. Once you’re past the three pacts, you will be able to see a route with several Deep Borer. They can be bypassed the same way as the Subterranean NPCs. Upon reaching the next room, you’ll find Tinkerer Gizlock on your right.

Tinkerer Gizlock

A level 50 elite goblin that can be found in Poison Falls. It can use a bomb, flash bomb and a goblin dragon gun and has the following loots:

- Inventor's Focal Sword

- Gizlock's Hypertech Buckler

- Mega shot Rifle

A good strategy to defeat the boss is to attack him with your pet first so that it can build its initial aggro. After a few seconds, you can start to DPS, while the hunter uses the spell Feign Death if the boss aggro the pet, as the Warlock cannot. Hunter needs to becareful with placing his/her pet as the flash bomb attack from the boss can cause the pet to run away in fear which will give a good chance to pull in more enemies.

Once the boss is dead, the player has to run back the same way they came from and pass the deep borer, making its way towards Princess Theradras. Once you’re on your way back, you’ll find a bridge to your right with a Primordial Behemoth on the other side, so cross the bridge hugging the left side to avoid aggro-ING it. After that, you’ll have to pass another pack of Subterranean NPCs to find the bridge leading to princess theradras with multiple primordial in the way. In the end, the player will have to jump the bridge over to the edge of the waterfall to reach the top with the main boss.

Princess Theradras

A level 51 elite that can be found in Poison Falls, and can use Dust Field, Repulsive Gaze and Knockdown. It has the following loots:

- Bracers of the Stone Princess

- Blackstone Ring

- Gemshard Heart

- Princess Theradras' Scepter

- Elemental Rockridge Leggings

- Eye of Theradras

- Charstone Dirk

- Blade of Eternal Darkness

If you’re a Hunter or Warlock class, you won’t have to worry about any ability apart from Dust Field and Boulder as both the classing will be kiting her around, allowing the player to run down her other abilities. The ability dust field causes AOE damage around her for 8 seconds, but this spell makes her stand in one place for the whole duration, which makes it easier for Ranged classes to damage her. Once she is dead, jump off the waterfall to the watery surroundings to find the last boss, Rotgrip.

Rotgrip

A giant level 50 crocolist that can be found in Poison Falls. This NPC patrols in the water of Zaetar’s Cave which is the area where you defeated princess theradras. Make sure that your surroundings are clear ad there are also hydras in the water. Rotgrip can use Puncture and Fatal Bite, and has the following loots:

- Gator bite Axe

- Albino Crocscale Boots

- Rotgrip Mantle

This fight is an easy tank and spank style. However, this boss should be killed as quickly as possible because of its stacking ability puncture. Before engaging him, hunters need to make sure that their pets are at full health. Warlock pets work differently, they’ll need to avoid aggro-ING the boss as he will not take time to kill the warlock’s voidwalker. A good tactic would be to use the ability to Sacrifice right before it dies which will allow the warlock to finish off the health that remains for the boss.

Gold Run

Average gold run for Tinkerer Gizlock is about 2 gold pieces and 70 silver pieces per kill.

Average gold run for Princess Theradras is about 4 gold pieces, 15 silver pieces and 67 copper pieces per kill.

Average gold run for Rotgrip is about 9 gold pieces, 5 silver pieces, 3 copper pieces per kill and 45 gold pieces, 25 silver pieces, 15 copper pieces per hour.
